Since its opening in 1998, Yulpo Sea-Water Green Tea Center has been directly managed by Boseong-gun. The center is loved by numerous tourists and visitors from all across the country. Especially, you can enjoy a bath healthily with sea water from 120 meters-deep underground and green water made by brewing the tea leaves made in Dawon, Boseong where teas are mainly produced. You can also enjoy the scenery of sandy beach and pine trees while feeling the mood of Namhae from the distance.
 
At Yulpo Sea-Water Green Tea Center’s outdoor open-air bath, you can look down on Yulpo Beach. Yulpo Beach is famous for its fine sands and thick pine tree forest. The offshore is the clean Deungnyang Bay and it’s the best place to swim in the sea for its tranquil waves and shallow waters. When mudflats appear during low waters, you can dig clams, too.
 
Since most mountains soon meet the sea at Boseong’s southern sea, most beaches don’t have sandy beach. So, Yulpo always has been crowded with people who come to enjoy their vacation in summer. Visitors come not only from Boseong but also other nearby cities.
 
Yulpo has changed a lot over the last few years. There are now resorts, camping sites, sea water pool, Yulpo Sea-Water Green Tea Center, and modernized food street. Yulpo became a marine resort. These days, quite a lot of people visit Yulpo not only during summer but also in other seasons, even in the cold midwinter.
 
Yulpo Sea-Water Green Tea Center is located just behind the beach. Those who have been to Yulpo Sea-Water Green Tea Center long ago would remember this place as ‘Yulpo Sea Water Green Tea Spa Baths’. The center completely changed since then. In 2018, areas near Yulpo Beach were reorganized and the building was newly remodeled. After the remodeling, the building now has modernized design and facilities like the large-scale resorts. Nevertheless, the admission fee is still as cheap as the local baths.
 
The pride of Yulpo Sea-Water Green Tea Center is sea water bath extracted from 120 meter-deep underground rock and green tea bath made by brewing the green tea leaves produced at Boseong. Sea water contains about 100 kinds of minerals. It is said that sea bathing removes skin wastes thanks to salinity difference between the body and the water and absorbs minerals. There is a traditional remedy called ‘Sea Water Spa’ and it has a similar principle. People who often use sea water bath only wash with water without shampoo or soap. After the bath, the skin gets smooth and soft even without shampoo or soap. Get into the warm sea water and feel the cool breeze coming from the pine tree forest.
 
Everyone knows that green tea is helpful for the health. The tea leaves used for brewing the tea are also useful. After drinking green tea, put the tea leaves in the water and wash the face with the green tea water. Green tea has rich catechin contents and catechin prevents anti-aging while vitamin B and vitamin C clear the blood. Also, tannic acid presents an anti-bacterial effect to remove the skin troubles.

Outdoor open-air bath where you can enjoy the cool sea breeze is young children’s favorite place. While young couples leave the open-air bath after taking some selfies, children swim there as if the outdoor foot bath is a pool. Meanwhile, older adults prefer jet spa massage facilities. After enjoying a massage with high-pressure water jet, your whole body will feel refreshed.
 
As you can enjoy the sea water pool while appreciating the view of sandy beach, pine forest, and sea at the outdoor pool using the deep sea water rising from 120 meters, families with children often visit the outdoor pool. Children love this pool for its water facilities including 81 meter-long tunnel tube slides, pirate ship, aqua play, lazy river pool, and wave pool.
 
Next to Yulpo Sea-Water Green Tea Center, there is a street with cafes and restaurants including raw fish restaurants, spicy seafood stew restaurants, Boseong’s pork brand called Green Tea Pork, roasting cafes, and cafes for hand-made macaroons and coffees. As Yulpo Beach and Yulpo Sea-Water Green Tea Center got famous in social networks, more young couples started to visit Yulpo and nice-looking cafes opened up.
 
Here's how to enjoy Yulpo Beach. First, play at the sandy beach. When you get tired, relieve the fatigue at Yulpo Sea-Water Green Tea Center’s green tea bath. At night, go to the food street and enjoy raw fish, spicy seafood stew, or Boseong green tea pork, and return to your room.
 
If you can't find a proper place to eat or stay at Yulpo Beach Tourist Complex, go to Yulpo Village located down the mountain at the western side of the beach. Yulpo village has old raw fish restaurants, lodging, and pension. Although they aren’t as neat as the places in tourist complex, you can feel the cozy and warm feeling from these old places.
